A foreigner-only casino at Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort in South Korea will open Saturday (Feb. 3) at 8:08 a.m., the real estate promoter said in a Friday announcement.
“Inspire Casino” features “more than 10 table game variations, slot machines featuring the latest games, and state-of-the-art electronic table game (ETG) areas,” it added.
The complex is promoted by the U.S.-based Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority. Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the casino license to the Mohegan Inspire last week.
In January, the property on the outskirts of Incheon’s capital, Seoul, received a five-star hotel rating from the Korea Tourism Association, a move that is a prerequisite for the game’s operation.
The casino, which spans two floors, has 150 game tables, more than 370 slot machines and a 160-seat ETG stadium, according to the resort’s website.
The main casino floor (pictured) is located on the second floor of the Mohegan Inspire, which includes two “premium fitouts and high-limit zones with a high level of service,” the company said.
The VIP area is located on the third floor, where the company offers an “intimate gaming experience” at the venue’s private salon.
Inspire, near Incheon International Airport, opened its first phase of non-gaming facilities, including 1,275 hotel rooms, 10 restaurants, and a 15,000-seat stadium, on Nov. 30. The hotel officially received a five-star rating on Jan. 3. The 11th Restaurant, Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, opened in December, which is called the first restaurant to handle such a brand outside of the United States.
