The Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort, a recently opened complex with a foreigner-only casino in South Korea, will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for “500 VIP” guests on March 5, featuring “Mohegan and Korean” cultural elements, according to a press release Thursday.
The property is run by Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, which represents Native American tribes.
The event will be heralded by Inspire Salute, a concert featuring K-pop artists, which will be performed on March 2.
The March 5 ribbon cutting will trigger a series of celebrations throughout the month, including a concert by American rock band Maroon 5 at the 15,000-capacity Inspire Arena in the accommodation on March 8 and 9.
There will be an additional “Private Party Style Event” at the Splash Bay Indoor Water Park on Mar. 14. It will feature hip-hop and DJ performances.
The WTT Champions Incheon, an international table tennis competition, will be held at Inspire Arena from Mar. 27-31, and will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of Korean table tennis as an organizational sport.
A total of 32 world-class athletes will participate, including Shin Yu-bin and Jeon Ji-hee from Korea, and Fan Jian-dong and Sun Ying-sha from China.
Ray Pinault, President and CEO of Mohegan Gaming, announced the upcoming event and event in March: “This is not only a celebration of our new offering, but a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.”

Mohegan Inspire held a soft opening for non-gaming facilities on Nov. 30, including a five-star hotel with three towers and 1,275 rooms, a multipurpose stadium described as Korea’s first such facility, “Aurora-branded “Digital Entertainment Street,” a direct restaurant, and meetings, incentives, meetings, and exhibitions (MICE) facilities.
