Former women’s national team coach Colleen Bell takes charge of Aberdeen Women in Scotland

Colleen Bell, former head coach of the South Korea women’s national soccer team, has been named head coach of the Aberdeen women’s team in Scotland.

“A former UEFA Champions League (UCL) winner, Bell has been appointed as head coach of the women’s team,” Aberdeen announced today (Aug. 26).

Aberdeen expects Bell to bring a wealth of experience in women’s soccer to develop players.

Bell has been the head coach of Eintracht Frankfurt’s women’s team since 2013, leading them to the DFB-Pokal title in 2014 and to the top of the women’s UCL in 2015.

She also managed the Republic of Ireland women’s national team from 2017 to 2019 and the South Korea women’s national team from 2019 to 2024.

“I wanted to take on a new challenge and Aberdeen has a lot of potential,” Bell said of the move, adding, “I want to produce results and have real success at Aberdeen.”

Bell was appointed as the first foreign coach of the South Korean women’s national soccer team in October 2019 and served in charge of the team for four years and eight months, extending her contract twice, but she terminated her contract early by mutual consent with the Korea Football Association on Oct. 20. 토토사이트
