Real Madrid legend Raul has applauded Judd Bellingham.
“Raul, one of Real’s greatest players of all time, has paid the highest compliments to Bellingham, saying he is the most talented player he has seen in years,” the UK’s Mirror reported on Jan. 1.
Raul is a legend who played for Real from the 1990s to 2010. He played 741 games for the club, scoring 323 goals and providing 123 assists. He was La Liga’s top scorer twice.
Real were at their peak with Raul. He won six La Liga titles, three UEFA Champions League titles, and four Supercopa de España (Spanish Super Cup) titles with Real, among other trophies.
Raul, arguably the greatest player in Real’s history, said of Bellingham: “He is one of the players who has impressed me the most in recent years. As Real president Florentino said, I think he was born to play for Real,” he said. It was the highest praise of all.
Raul added: “Despite the short time he has had, Bellingham has managed to connect with the public with the values that Real and sport in general convey. He is young but mature and knows how to communicate with everyone. I haven’t seen a player with those qualities in a long time.”
He also wished Bellingham all the best: “I wish him the best, because he’s just starting, he’s only been at Real for six or seven months. But he will bring a lot to Real,” he added. As Raul said, this is Bellingham’s first season at the club. He hasn’t had a lot of time yet, so he has to do his best.
