Here We Go Press Release “Until 2025→Signing is now just a formality”
Real Madrid has re-signed legendary midfielder Toni Kroos to a new contract.
European soccer transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano said on Sunday (ET): “Cross will remain at Real until 2025 after a new one-year contract was agreed. Direct talks have taken place between Kroos and Real regarding the contract and the signing is now just a formality.”
Kroos is a legendary German midfielder. He was called up to the German national team for the first time in 2010 and played at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. At the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, he won the tournament and was named to the FIFA FIFPro World’s Best Eleven after winning the World Cup Assist Award.
After one loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen, Kroos earned a spot in the first team starting in the 2010-2011 season. He went on to make 176 appearances for the Bavarians, scoring 22 goals and providing 37 assists as he established himself as an integral part of the team. He then joined Real ahead of the 2014-2015 season for a transfer fee of €25 million.
Cross was a regular starter in his first season at Real. In 2014-15, he scored two goals and provided 13 assists in 55 games. From 2015-16, he formed one of the best midfield combinations in Real’s history, the ‘Camo’ line. Along with Casemiro and Modric, he anchored the midfield and helped the club win the UEFA Champions League.
From this point on, Kroos led Real to their glory days. Real won three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles starting in 2015-16 with the Camo line. By the 2021-2022 season, the line had won three La Liga titles and defeated Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League final to claim the final crown.
Cross remained strong despite Casemiro’s departure. Playing alongside Modric, he won his first Copa del Rey last season and went on to win every trophy with 카지노 Real. This season, he has already won one more trophy, beating Barcelona in the final of the Supercopa de España.
Recently, Kroos has also returned to the German national team. On Thursday, the German Football Association (DFB) announced its 26-man A-match roster for the upcoming friendlies against France and the Netherlands, and Kroos was named to the squad. Kroos made a splashy return to the national team, starting both games and recording one assist each.
The call-up to the German national team has also been good for Real. Romano explained on March 22 that the club is optimistic that Kroos’ return to the German national team is a positive sign for a contract extension beyond this season. And it looks like the return to the national team finally had a positive impact on the renewal.
Real signed Kroos to a one-year contract extension, keeping him with the club through the 2024-25 season. ”He had an incredible season at Real, and now he’s having a super season in Germany,” Romano said. Cross is a Real legend.
