Now Playing Adds Online Live Dealer Games In Saskatchewan

The Saskatchewan-regulated Internet gambling platform went online through British Columbia Lottery Corporation’s PlayNow in November 2022. And last week, live table games were introduced on the province’s online portal, run by the Saskatchewan Indian Games Authority. This will further enhance the local player’s experience as they add interaction with the actual dealer.

BCLC’s PlayNow in Saskatchewan should mention that Saskchewan Indian Gaming Authority operates through an operational contract with Saskchewan. The online gaming platform offers online casino games, sports betting and live dealer games available on desktops and mobile devices through live casinos in Europe, similar to operations in BC and Manitoba.

Last week, a new live casino game went online on the provincial iGaming platform, allowing local gamblers to play and enjoy live dealer games. BCLC is leveraging Evolution’s live gaming portfolio on its Saskatchewan platform, according to a news release. The new content is described as very attractive, allowing players to interact with real-time dealers over the Internet.

According to a press release last week, PlayNow is currently offering 17 digital table games to betters. Some of the titles available include the best-selling titles in the industry. These include Auto Roulette, Black Jack, Baccarat, Baccarat Squeeze, Dream Wheeler, Infinite Black Jack, and Lightning Auto Roulette Ultimate Texas Hold M.

In a statement, SIGA President and CEO Jane Hansen commented that she was pleased that regulators would further strengthen the PlayNow website and already exceptional list of games with the addition of Live Casino Vertical. According to him, the new online product will further complement the organization’s existing casino attributes for the enjoyment of Saskatchewan residents.

SIGA introduced PlayNow in Saskatchewan on November 3, 2022, and is the only regulated online gambling website in the state to date. Currently, this web portal offers over 500 casino games, as well as legally licensed single-game sports betting. Mr Hansen reminded that the platform’s net proceeds are reinvested in state coffers.

Earlier in the new year, SIGA provided the first update on the recently introduced online gaming market. In the first two months of online operations, the division registered more than 8,000 users, said Mike Bellegarde, head of iGaming at SIGA. This marked a tremendous beginning for the new and regulated market in the province.

In addition, total betting handling amounted to about C$12 million in November, according to regulators. Then in December, the handling jumped even further to a much larger scale of CA$18.2 million bets. Mr. Belgard said the iGaming portal could potentially be one of the state’s biggest profit casinos.
