“An Se-young fighting against unreasonable reality The association is not mature enough”

Rep. Shin Jeong-hoon criticizes “association bureaucracy and self-preservation”

Shin Jeong-hoon, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (Naju/Hwasun), whose constituency is Naju, South Jeolla Province, the hometown of badminton player Ahn Se-young, criticized the Korea Badminton Association on the 9th, saying that it is immature, pointing out its bureaucracy and self-protection.

On that day, Rep. Shin posted a message titled “Ahn Se-young fighting an unreasonable reality” on his social network service (SNS) and pointed out that there are problems with the regulations of the Korea Badminton Association and the association’s attitude toward Ahn.

Rep. Shin stated, “The Badminton Association has a regulation that other sports associations do not have, which states that all players must belong to the national team by the age of 27 in order to compete in national and international competitions.” “This may seem unreasonable from an individual’s perspective, as players who are members of the national team cannot sign individual sponsorship contracts.”

Rep. Shin said, “Athletes live with the risk of injury, but (due to the association’s regulations) it is difficult to secure stable sponsorship or financial support even when they are at their peak.” He added, “It may have been right in the past, but times have changed, so these regulations need to be realistically revised.”

Rep. Shin said, “The bigger problem is the association’s attitude toward Ahn. Compared to Ahn, who says, ‘We are not going to fight,’ the association seems to be saying, ‘Let’s fight properly.’” He raised the level of criticism by saying, “When I look at the press release issued by the association, I cannot help but think that their attitude is immature compared to the young Ahn. I think it is the height of bureaucracy and self-preservation.”

Rep. Shin said, “I hope the Badminton Association has a deep conversation with Ahn,” and “In my memory, Se-young was a young badminton prospect. I hope the association will no longer disappoint the people who are already overwhelmed and moved by the fact that that young athlete has grown to become such a promising athlete and won an Olympic gold medal.” 파워볼사이트
