Heungkuk Life, IBK, Pepper Savings Bank, and three other clubs have finalized a deal.
The three clubs finalized the trade on Wednesday and announced it.
Heungkuk Life acquired libero Shin Yeon-kyung from IBK in exchange for middle blocker Kim Chae-yeon.
Heungkuk Life also agreed to send setter Lee Won-jung and a first-round rookie pick for the 2025-2026 season to Pepper Savings Bank and receive a second-round rookie pick 스포츠토토 for the 2025-2026 season from setter Lee Ig-eun.
Shin will return to Heungkuk Life after a four-year absence following the 2019-2020 season. After joining IBK as a third-round pick in the 2012-2013 season, Shin joined Heungkuk Life as a compensation player in the 2014-2015 season and contributed to the team’s 2018-2019 championship.
Igo Eun Lee, who joined Korea Expressway Corporation as the No. 3 pick in the first round of the 2013-2014 season, is wearing her fifth jersey after playing for IBK, GS Caltex, and Pepper Savings Bank.
After playing for IBK, Kim joined Heungkuk Life as the fifth pick of the first round in the 2017-2018 season and won the Rookie of the Year award. Although she hasn’t played many games due to injuries, her skills have been proven.
Lee Won-jung, who plays for Pepper Savings Bank, joined Korea Expressway Corporation in the second round of the 2017-2018 season and played for GS Caltex before joining Heungkuk Life. He helped lead the team to the regular season title.
With this trade, all three clubs will be able to complete their rosters and prepare for the new season.
