The British-themed Macao in London opened after two years of renovation

The renovation of London Macao has finally been completed, and the Kotai Streep Integrated Resort has prepared a grand celebration to showcase its new upgraded version.

A big celebration:

The renovation of the British-themed resort lasted two years, and Las Vegas Sands finally got the chance to showcase the resort to many VIP guests.

As the event’s name suggests, the journey begins. The event celebrated the beginning of Sands China Ltd.’s game concession, which will last for 10 years. The company promised a huge investment of $3.7 billion (MOP 30.2 billion) to support the city and the costs of its development.

Many celebrities stood on the red carpet in Macau, the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the industry. Among the guests was David Beckham, Sands’ global ambassador.

Many artists from various occupations were hired to decorate the night. Among them were Lang Lang, a famous Chinese pianist; G.E.M., a singer from Hong Kong, as well as Ayanga, a famous Chinese actor and musical theater singer and artist. At the end of the night, after the “Be My Guest” campaign was offered to guests, they had the opportunity to enjoy a grand dinner, and during the dinner, famous British jazz legend Jamie Cullum performed.

The celebration exceeded expectations. Sheldon G. Adelson, CEO and chairman of Sands, wanted Cotai to become one of the most famous destinations in the world for gambling and leisure activities, and it seems that it finally succeeded.

British-inspired resorts:

Renovated Macao in London has five hotels, three spa centers, four health clubs, and more than 20 restaurants and other dining options. For shopping addicts, no one can be bored, with 150 boutiques. Along with the huge London Arena with 6,000 seats, the conference facility has also been renovated.

The resort looks like England, with a variety of amenities inspired by one of the most famous British cultural heritages. The exterior is inspired by the Palace of Westminster and the Parliament House. The resort also hosts a precise replica of Big Ben that rings every hour to add to its authenticity. Security guards, who mimic the famous changing of the guard, are also trained to do the same at the resort. More amenities were inspired by British architecture, such as Crystal Palace, Victoria Station in London, and Piccadilly Circus.

This is the latest addition to a group of Macau casino resorts inspired by European cities. There are already Paris Macao, Venice Macao, and Plaza Macao.

Robert G. Goldstein, CEO and chairman of Las Vegas Sands, said, “Sands China delivered Sheldon Adelson’s vision through Kotai’s continued development.
