‘Is it time for Aver 1.0’…Throne’s Gary Kim and Jungsook Lim cruise to Round of 32

Is it the era of Averages 1.0?
As the level of women’s professional billiards rises, the batting average target line to avoid the risk of elimination seems to have been raised to Avery 1.0.

The battle for averages is becoming more intense as the game is not only about offense but also about defense.
In the women’s round of 64 of the 2023-2024 PBA-LPBA 7th Tour High One Resort Championship, held at High One Resort in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, on March 23, star players were separated by their average of 1.0.

Surong Piavi (Blue One Resort) and Kim Ga-young (Hanacard), who are considered the “two giants” of women’s billiards, defeated Park Chowon and Choi Bo-ram side by side in the round of 64 to reach the round of 32.

With an average of 1.043 and averages of 1.136, it seems that the two players gave it their all, treating each match as a cliffhanger with so many variables.
Lim Jung-sook (Crown Hae-tae – 1.150), Baek Min-ju (Crown Hae-tae – 1.042), Kim Se-yeon (Huons – 1.000), and Kim Gap-sun (1.389) also cruised to an average of 1.0 or better.

Seo Han-sol (Blue One Resort), who has been playing since the Round of 128, peaked with a 1.471 average in the Round of 64 and is averaging 1.119 for the tournament. 온라인카지노

Han Ji-Eun also posted a 1.250 average in the Round of 64, including 10 high runs, to hold off the hard-charging Jung Eun-Young (0.947).
On the other hand, Yong Hyun-ji (Hiwol Resort – 0.400), who was one of the favorites to win, as well as Kim Bo-mi (NH Card – 0.536), Kang Ji-eun (SK Rent-a-Car – 0.593), Kim Jin-ah (Hana Card – 0.783), and Jeon Ae-lin (Huon’s – 0.591), failed to execute their game and were eliminated in the first round.

In Yong Hyun-ji’s case, the ball deflected slightly, and her banked shots were just slightly off the mark.
Of course, averages are relative, and some players have advanced to the round of 32 with less than 1.0. Kwanrok’s Kim Min-ah (NHK Card) defeated Kim Kyung-ja (0.429) despite having an average of 0.750, while Lee Im-rae (Hi One Resort – 0.815) also made it to the round of 32 with a win over Lee Olivia (0.556).
Defending champion Choi Hye-mi (Welcome Savings Bank – 0.773), powerhouse Kim Ye-eun (Welcome Savings Bank – 0.710), and defending champion Sakai Ayako (Hana Card – 0.833) also made it to the Round of 32 despite not having an average of 1.0.

Natsumi Higashiuchi (Welcome Savings Bank) made it to the last 32 after posting a 0.455 in the Round of 64, just ahead of her opponent Kim Min-jung (0.303).
On the other hand, there were also matches in which players were eliminated despite hitting an average of 1.0 or more, or failed to score a decisive shot even with the same average.
Commentator Kim Hyun-seok said, “As the years go by, the women’s average is getting higher.

It’s meaningful because they’re not just attacking like they did in the past, but they’re also fighting at a high level with their defense,” analyzed Kim.
“The average of individual players tends to converge to the average.

Players who hit well need to be more cautious in the next game, and those who played poorly need to play better.”
Meanwhile, the men’s competition will begin on Thursday with the round of 128.
