Manager Lee Seung-yeop
Wanted Kwak-bin to have a good experience with the 스포츠토토 national team before their game
against the NC Dinos at Jamsil Stadium on April 19.
Kwak earned the win in the game at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on Nov. 18, pitching six innings of
eight-hit ball with five strikeouts and no walks. It was his last start before he is called up to the national
team on April 23.
Kwak-Bin
Has led Doosan’s starting rotation this year alongside ace Raul Alcantara and Brandon Waddell.
In 22 starts this season, Kwak is having a career-high season with an 11-7 record and a 2.97 ERA.
Kwak is expected to be a key part of the starting rotation for the Korean National Baseball Team at the
2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
Coach Lee Seung-yeop
Who has excelled in international tournaments under the Korean flag in the past, was eager to see Kwak-
bin and the Korean baseball team perform well.
“Kwak-bin pitched well before a big tournament. It was an important game for the team and the country.
I’m happy for him, 토토 and I think he can leave the team for a while. I think it was a good pitching
performance for the national team.”
He offered some advice for his departure.
“I would tell him to put aside his team worries and do his best for the national team and come back with
good results,” he said. Kwak Bin said, ‘I will give my soul,’ and that’s a good attitude,” he laughed.
“It’s true that Korea didn’t do well at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and the World Baseball Classic (WBC)
this year. I think it’s important for Korean baseball because there are a lot of young players in the Asian
Games,” Lee emphasized.
Meanwhile, the Korean baseball team will try to win its fourth consecutive Asian Games gold medal after
winning gold in Guangzhou 2010, Incheon 2014 and Jakarta-Palembang 2018. 스포츠토토링크
