After the game, Hanwha manager Choi Won-ho said, “Starting pitcher Peña did his job. Choi suffered a microfracture on the back of his left hand when he was hit by Guillermo Heredia’s backswing in a game against SSG in Munhak on March 29, but he returned to the starting lineup for the first time in four games that day and protected the defense.

“At the plate, I want to praise Kim Tae-yeon, who hit a two-run home run in the first inning to give us the lead, and Lee Do-yoon, who had a multi-hit game, including a two-run triple in the seventh inning when we needed more runs,” Choi added.

Hanwha travels to Gwangju on April 4 for a three-game series against KIA.
