OK Financial Group, a professional volleyball men’s division, conducted a trade on the 19th, giving away setter Myung-woo Kwak to Hyundai Capital and receiving middle blocker Young-seok Cha and a first-round pick in the 2024-2025 rookie draft.
Kwak Myung-woo joined the OK Financial Group volleyball team as the first pick in the second round of the V-League rookie draft in the 2013-2014 season.
Playing for only one team for 10 seasons, he contributed to the OK Financial Group volleyball team winning two consecutive championships in the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons.
In the 2023-2024 season, he participated in 34 games and 126 sets, leading the OK Financial Group volleyball team to the championship match with stable game management.
Cha Young-seok began his professional career by being selected by Hyundai Capital as the second pick in the second round of the 2016-2017 season rookie draft.
Cha Young-seok, who has excellent fast break ability, ranked 4th in fast break in the 2023-2024 season, and after qualifying as a free agent (FA), he signed a contract to remain with Hyundai Capital.
However, he was immediately traded and made a new start at OK Financial Group.
Officials from both teams explained, “It is a trade that aligns the interests of the two teams about to make a new start.” 고스톱
