Min-Jae Kim

A key defender for Bayern Munich in the German professional soccer Bundesliga, helped his team to a clean sheet.

The Bavarians secured a 3-0 victory over Freiburg in the seventh round of the 2023-2024 Bundesliga at

the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, at 0:30 a.m. ET on Sept. 9. With the win, the Bavarians remain

unbeaten with five wins and two draws and sit in third place in the league.

In addition to Kingsley Coman’s multi-goal performance and Leroy Sane’s brace, there were also standout

performances from Kim Min-jae, who provided solid defense at the back and slick passing up front.

Munich opted for a 4-2-3-1, with Kim starting in the ‘4’ with Dayo Upamecano in central defense.

With a 92% passing success rate, four interceptions, nine recoveries, and a 100% success rate in winning aerial balls, he was a strong presence in the defense.

After the game, statistical outlet Fúscore.com recognized his performance by giving him a rating of 7.9, the highest among both defenses.

Also playing in the Danish league was forward Cho Kyu-sung (Mittwillan), who played the full match.

Mittwillan played to a 2-2 draw with Lahners FC in the 11th round of the 2023-2024 Danish Superliga at

the MCH Arena in Herning, Denmark.

Cho Kyu-sung was up front and battled for the full 90 minutes, but was unable to find the back of the net as the team earned a point.

Serbian midfielder Hwang In-beom (Zvezda) also got a start.

Zvezda pulled off a 4-3 come-from-behind victory in their 2023-2024 Serbian Superliga away match

against Radnicki on Aug. 8.

Hwang In-beom

Didn’t record an offensive point, but he started and was in charge of the team’s midfield until the 23rd minute of the second half.

After completing their international assignments, Kim Min-jae, Cho Kyu-sung and Hwang In-beom will be

called up to the Paju National Training Center (NFC) on September 9 by A team head coach Jürgen

Klinsmann in preparation for the October A match.
