Saratoga Casino Has Legal Problems With Customers

Gambler Miranda Sanders will now take Saratoga Casino Hotel to court in an unjust arrest. This has to do with her cashing in the winnings and pointing out the cashier’s mistakes on February 15, 2021 at the casino for overpaid money. A police warrant was then issued and she was arrested for not returning the prize money.

On November 4, 2021, Mr. Sanders filed a lawsuit against a casino, a city administration, a police officer, and two casino employees. She is seeking more than $1 million in damages for falsely arresting and claiming to have lost her business in a butcher’s shop. She also claims the arrest caused her anxiety and ruined her reputation.

Eileen Cotter, the cashier who made the mistake, contacted Sanders that she was right about the mistake and that $850 should be returned. And a few weeks later she returned to the casino to meet with Edward Moore, the head of security. She then claimed that she had waited too long to see him and had left before the two could talk.

This led to Mr. Moore submitting a report on the situation to the local police, and Mr. Sanders continued to answer phone calls at the casino and hire lawyers. A few days later, police officer Christopher Camaro recorded a conversation with the district attorney’s assistant in Saratoga County’s Joseph Pradino, who said Mr. Sanders had done nothing wrong in the situation.

However, in the recorded conversation, Mr. Kamaro still filed a complaint and issued an arrest warrant, although he had agreed with a city official. Court papers state that both warrants were issued knowing that there was no probable cause for the crime. The official also could not indict Mr. Sanders and did not inform the court that no crime had occurred.

Sanders turned himself in on October 21, 2021, and she said the situation was humiliating and embarrassing. Then in January 2022, police withdrew the charges. Sanders argues that two of her constitutional rights were violated and that the police were responsible for failing to properly train, supervise and discipline police officers.

Nevertheless, the Saratoga Casino Hotel is not only controversial, but also has shown responsibility for the region on several occasions, as it has a major positive impact on the community because it provides entertainment and stable jobs for many people. For example, in December last year, the casino donated more than $110,000 to a local nonprofit organization during its Make A Difference vacation plan. 파워볼사이트

But it should be noted that in 2020, casinos’ ability to give back to communities and community coffers has been hugely impacted by unprecedented conditions. But the establishment in July 2021 showed that today is now a thing of the past. Total gaming revenue for the month was US$13.5 million, followed by approximately $13 million in August.
