The wait for the grand opening of Cascade Casino North Bay is almost over, as Gateway Casino & Entertainment announced it will reopen this March. This week, the gaming giant announced that the gaming property, located on Pinewood Park Drive in North Bay, will begin welcoming customers on the site from 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
The building first started construction on May 31, 2019, and was scheduled to open for the first time in the summer of 2020. However, there are obstacles to the route, such as an unprecedented situation in March 2020 causing construction to be suspended at the site. Nearly two years after the first opening day, the facility is finally ready.
Rob Mitchell, communications director at Gateway Casino & Entertainment, said in a recent interview that things are almost back to normal. He also pointed out that due to the province’s latest health and safety, casino customers will not need to present their vaccination certificates when they attend. But he says masks will still be needed.
Mr Mitchell said the company was finally about to cross the finish line and start a casino facility, despite the unprecedented situation and everything thereafter. The facility is located on Pinewood Park Drive and spans 39,000 square feet and features over 300 slot machines, six roulette, live table games on blackjack and 10 electronic table games.
The spokesman also noted that the game leader is very happy and excited about the launch of Game Amenity in North Bay. He added that the casino will also come with the company’s trademark Match Eatery and Public House. It will be the brand’s fourth restaurant. Currently at Hanover, Chatham, and point Edward.
According to Mitchell, the new property will also have a lot of live entertainment because it has a large and open patio. According to him, customers will be able to move freely to restaurants and further to the game floor. “Summit Bar” will also run the entire game floor. And finally, he said he thinks the accommodation will be warmly welcomed by local residents.
Gateway Casino & Entertainment said it held a two-week job fair for the Cascade Casino North Bay Grand Open in December last year and needed an additional 200 new workers, securing a total of 300.
Recently, the gaming giant released an update to its casino llamas in Ontario as well. The company has informed that customers at the venue will not need to present their vaccination certificates upon entry from March 1, 2022. On February 17, 2022, the casino already lifted the capacity limit, but the company says guests are still required to wear masks.
