Philippine casino operator and developer Bloomberry Resorts is expected to have net gaming revenue of about 39.4 billion PHP ($694 million) in 2023, according to the latest estimate from Maybank IBG Research.
Listed in the Philippines, Bloomberry operates the Solaire Resort and Casino (pictured) in the entertainment city of Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and the Hotel Jeju Line, which has foreigner-only casinos on the Korean resort island of Jeju.
Bloomberry’s net gaming revenue for the second quarter was tallied at 10.63 billion PHP, which represents 99% of what occurred at its Philippine operations in Solaire. As a result, casino operators’ net gaming revenue for the first half of this year was 21.45 billion PHP, which already accounted for 54.5% of Maybank’s latest projected net gaming revenue.
During the second quarter, Solaire’s VIP rolling chip volumes, bulk table drops and electronic game console coin-ins were at 172.48 billion PHP, 13.28 billion PHP, and 90.11 billion PHP, respectively, up 47.0%, 42.9% and 16.6% year-over-year, according to analyst Alexa Carvajal’s MayBank comments. The amount was also up all quarter-over-quarter.
Solaire’s total gaming revenue for the second quarter was 15.11 billion PHP, up 15.3% from a year earlier, but down 5.8% sequentially.
